“This is World Malaria Day and we all are here, people from Tropical Med, the Biosciences Building, the medical school, the medical students. This is very important. We still don’t have a vaccine for malaria but people should know about this disease, and although we don’t have many cases of malaria in the U.S. many people in the U.S. travel to tropical regions, and Hawaii is also tropical region, we haven’t had cases of malaria but who knows what could happen. So it’s very important and we still need to get the message out.”
