Welcome to the foot of Table Mountain. It's a nice, sunny day and we're going up, but first we need some tickets.
Behind me is the first Table Mountain cable car ever made for Table Mountain. It was constructed in 1926 and went up the mountain for the first time in 1929. It could hold up to 25 people at the time, but nowadays up to 65 can go up the mountain.
Okay. So we reached the top of Table Mountain. My first impression is that it is really nice. It's not really clear, but still quite stunning.
On Table Mountain there are a lot of animals like porcupines, mongooses, snakes and these lazy little guys. These are called Dassies. A funny fact about the Dassies is that they are actually related to the elephants and this is because their teeth and feet.
There used to be more game on Table Mountain such as lions and leopards, but the last time they were sighted was in 1802.
Legend tells us whenever there are clouds on Devil's Peak, the Devil holds a smoking contest with a local pirate van Hunks, but apparently there is no smoking contest going on today.
It's been a beautiful day here on the Table Mountain tour, we're going to catch the cable car now.
