In spring 2010, Gretchen Hasse wrote and implemented a curriculum bringing together middle school students, including Burmese refugees, and college video students from Chicago's International Academy of Design and Technology. The middle school students wrote a short video based on their shared experiences, and the IADT students shot and edited it. This is a brief excerpt of the final video.
