Christmas moments

I love Christmas time.....I love it....I am not sure why I do, but I love everything about it. I even love the stuff most people hate about the holidays in general...the travel, being with family, stressing out, etc. I love the traditions too....I guess for me, the traditions give me comfort. Even when I was a kid growing up, among the crap that was my childhood, Christmas was one of the few times I remember things being "perfect"....so traveling to 4 in laws, fighting Christmas mall crowds, listening to your crazy uncle....I say bring it on...But.....the last few years have been rough.....Glenna and I both lost a lot of our Christmas spirit due to a lot of things I guess...but last year, things were better and this year.....I really felt "it". Things change....kids grow up, life happens and traditions sometimes have to change....it's just life...There are still some things that will never change, my love for my wife and kids and my belief that we are more than the sum of our parts....so maybe we don't put up the tree the day after Thanksgiving, maybe we celebrate Christmas with the kids on Christmas eve, maybe we get up at the crack of dawn on Christmas day to deliver blankets and food to the homeless in Cincinnati, maybe I take a moment to reflect on how lucky I really am.....I hope you all are having the very best during this holiday season....Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you all.....Heath....
